Something wrong? Tell us.
Quiet Budget is made by one person at Echo House Labs, and that person reads every email. There is no ticket system and no bot — just support@echohouselabs.com.
§ 01Before you write
Sync says it could not finish. Tap the sync indicator to see which tables failed and what the server said. Sync is part of Quiet Plus and needs you to be signed in under Settings → Account & sync; if you are signed in and it still fails, send us that message — it names the actual problem, and it is usually ours to fix, not yours.
You bought Quiet Plus and the app still looks free. Settings → Quiet Plus → Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to the Apple or Google account that made them, so restoring on a different store account will not find them.
You cannot sign in. Accounts use an email and a password. Resetting the password sends a six-digit code to your email rather than a link — check the spam folder, and type the code into the app. If the code never arrives, write to us with the email address you used.
The website asks you to sign in. The web dashboard and spreadsheet mode are part of Quiet Plus, and the browser needs an account to know that. The phone app does not: it works fully with no account at all.
Nothing appears from your bank. That is by design — Quiet Budget never connects to a bank, a card, or a financial institution, and everything in it is typed by you. If you have a statement to bring in, Settings → Your data → Import will take a CSV.
§ 02What helps in an email
Your device and its operating system version, the app version from Settings → About, what you expected, what happened instead, and a screenshot if there is anything to see. If it involves a number that looks wrong, tell us which screen you were on and what you think it should have said — that is usually enough to find it.
Please do not send screenshots you are uncomfortable sharing. We can almost always work from a description.
§ 03Sharing a budget with someone
Quiet Budget syncs everything tied to one account, so two people share a budget by signing in to the same account on their own phones. Whatever one of you adds or changes appears on the other after syncing.
There are no separate per-person logins or permissions today, so treat those credentials like a shared house key: anyone signed in can see and change the whole budget. To stop sharing, sign out on one device under Settings → Account & sync — the data already on each phone stays where it is — and change the account password if you want it fully handed over.
§ 04Getting your data out, or deleting it
Export CSV under Settings → Your data writes your transactions, accounts and goals to a file you keep. It works whether or not you have an account.
Backup & restore saves a full copy of the budget you can move to another device. Restoring is a full replace rather than a merge, so it overwrites what is on the device you restore onto.
Delete all local data clears everything the app has stored on that device and returns it to a fresh start.
Delete account removes the account and its synced copy from the server. The two are separate on purpose: deleting the account does not wipe the budget sitting on your phone, and deleting local data does not close the account.
§ 05Subscriptions and refunds
Quiet Plus is billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we cannot issue them on your behalf, though we are happy to help you work out what happened.
What each tier costs, and how the trial converts, is set out in the Terms of Service.
§ 06Feature requests
Welcome, and genuinely read. The app has a deliberate bias against adding things — a budget app that keeps growing is how you end up with the ones this exists to avoid — so a "no" is not a dismissal of the idea, only of the noise.
